OfficeMaps 2.12 has been released and includes new features as well as bug fixes. If your OfficeMaps is cloud-hosted, these changes will be available immediately. Simply log out of OfficeMaps, restart your browser and then log in again. If your OfficeMaps is self-hosted then you will need to update your OfficeMaps website following a manual process. Please contact OfficeMaps support if you require assistance with this.
New Features and Improvements
Changes to Status and Work Days - Work Days now have three values: "Office", "Remote" and "Non Work" so users' locations can be identified and their anticipated movement declared ahead of time. Default Work Days can be set for new users and Administrators can also specify a default Status for all users depending on their Work Day.
User Prompts to confirm Status - Administrators can stipulate that users be prompted to confirm or change their status every day. Administrators can also specify a daily time to send an email to users who have not yet confirmed their status.
Desks can be blocked to prevent bookings - In order to handle COVID-19 social distancing requirements, administrators can edit an asset on the map and mark it "blocked", meaning that while the asset is still visible, it cannot be booked. This block can be removed by an administrator when appropriate. Note that adding a block does not remove any existing allocation on that asset.
Asset Capacity and Maximum booking duration visible from the map - Administrators can specify that the value of the Capacity and Maximum Booking Duration fields for assets be displayed on the map. In this way, users can get information about assets like meeting rooms before making a booking. These values can also be hidden on the map by an administrator if desired.
