Microsoft Intune policy to allow access for OfficeMaps Mobile app.

When Microsoft Intune policies are applied on iOS mobile devices and Microsoft Edge is used as the default browser, users may experience the following issue:

After successful authentication in the launched browser, the browser attempts to open the OfficeMaps app and displays

"This site is trying to open another application” with options to Allow or Don’t Allow.

When selecting Allow, the following error is displayed:

"Something went wrong. The application couldn’t be opened.”

To resolve this, the OfficeMaps mobile app requires an app exemption in the Intune App Protection policy.

Name: OfficeMaps Mobile

Value: officemapsmobile01;com.officemaps.officemapsmobile01

Full Instructions

Open the Intune Admin Center, select Apps and then click iOS/iPadOS.

Click Protection.

Select the policy Intune App Protection, then Properties. In the section Data protection, click Edit.

In the section Select apps to exempt, click Select.

Add a new entry with the following values:

Name: OfficeMaps Mobile

Value: officemapsmobile01;com.officemaps.officemapsmobile01

Click Ok, then save changes to the policy.
