We are changing how you Log In to OfficeMaps

In order to increase security and authorization options for our customers, we are releasing a new version of OfficeMaps. This release includes changes to the way users who are authenticated locally will log in to OfficeMaps, and will add the option to use Google Authentication to log in. All OfficeMaps instances will be affected by this change and you will need to inform your users of changes to the login process and the OfficeMaps phone apps.

New Login URL

To log in to OfficeMaps version 3.0 you will need to use a new URL for user login and authentication. This URL will be https://officemaps.net.

When logging in via this URL, users will no longer be required to specify their instance name. Users will be able to continue to use the existing URL’s (app.officemaps.com, uk.officemaps.com, us.officemaps.com) for a period of 3 months where both URL’s will continue to function. From April 15th, 2023, the existing URLs will cease to work and users will be redirected to https://officemaps.net in . Please note that if you have applied firewall rules to allow OfficeMaps URLs to be visited, these will need to be changed.

New Login Methods

Now you can use Google to log in to OfficeMaps. With this new version of OfficeMaps organisations can choose to log in to OfficeMaps by using One-Time Password, Microsoft or Google.

Log In with One-Time Password:

Users will no longer be required to set a new password. Instead, every time a user logs in with local credentials, a One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to their registered email address.

Log In with Microsoft:

Administrators can allow users to log in using Microsoft as an authentication provider. Where enabled, a user can use their Office 365 account to login to OfficeMaps as long as their email address in OfficeMaps matches their email address with Microsoft.
