Web App and API Updated to v1.4

OfficeMaps has had new features added and range of bugs fixed. If your OfficeMaps installation is not self-hosted, these changes will be available immediately. Simply log out of OfficeMaps, restart your browser and then log in again. If your OfficeMaps is self-hosted then you will need to update the files through a manual process. Please contact OfficeMaps support if you require assistance with this.

New Features and Improvements

  1. Changes in caching of profile images and maps - This has made an improvement in responsiveness for instances with a large number of users.
  2. Asset Labels in kiosk - In the kiosk, asset labels and icons will now appear above assets just like in the normal map.
  3. Active Directory Sync of Position field - OfficeMaps now allows administrators to synchronise users' Position field from Active Directory. This option can be set by choosing the People menu under Preferences and then ticking the option Position in the section "Which fields should be included from AD?"
  4. Person Status Colours correspond to Skype for Business - The status colour shown in a person's profile and on the map will now match the equivalent status colour in Skype for Business.

Bug Fixes

A number of bugs have been resolved including the following:

  1. Updating a user's status in their profile does not change the status of that user on the map.
  2. Closing the people/asset panel clears some of the map until the panel is reopened.
