OfficeMaps 2.3 has been released and includes new features and a range of bugs fixed. If your OfficeMaps is cloud-hosted, these changes will be available immediately. Please contact OfficeMaps support if you require assistance with this.

New Features and Improvements

  1. Reports - Administrators are able to produce reports on OfficeMaps usage. Information is available for People, Locations (and all child locations) and Assets. More information about this is available in the help documentation section Reports .
  2. Bulk set Time Zone and Launch Page - Administrators can now set multiple users' Time Zone or Launch Page from the People option page in a single operation.
  3. Restrict access to Kiosk to a specified IP range - Administrators can limit the IP range of kiosks, the map widget and the search widget so that they are only available on an organisation's network.
  4. Set Desk Allocations either manually or through AD Sync - It is now possible to allocate users to an asset through the use of an AD/Azure AD field which can be specified in Preferences / People. In addition, asset assignments can be made through the use of an Excel spreadsheet. More information about this is available in the article Assign People to Assets from Excel .
  5. Specify custom fields as visible to Admin Only - Administrators can now specify that custom fields for People, Assets or Pins are visible only to administrators, allowing them to maintain information that is not available to normal users.

Bug Fixes
A number of bugs have been resolved including the following:
  1. Only Administrators and Instance Administrators should be able to see the links button on a map.
  2. Searching for a person that has an allocation on a hidden site level returns an error.
  3. Set password email for first created user in an instance does not allow user to set the password.
  4. Users can't see People/Asset/Pin Edit controls if the name is too long.
