Web App and API Updated to v2.7

OfficeMaps 2.7 has been released and includes new features as well as bug fixes. If your OfficeMaps is cloud-hosted, these changes will be available immediately. Simply log out of OfficeMaps, restart your browser and then log in again. If your OfficeMaps is self-hosted then you will need to update your OfficeMaps website following a manual process. Please contact OfficeMaps support if you require assistance with this.

 

New Features and Improvements

  1. Hyperlink fields can now link to files - In the past, custom Hyperlink fields for Assets, Pins and People could only link to a web site using the http:// or https:// protocols. Administrators can choose now to specify a path to a local file, using the conventional format "file:///SERVERNAME/PATH/FILENAME" (e.g. file:///fileserver/data/files/readme.txt). 

Bug Fixes

A number of bugs have been resolved including the following:

  1. Kiosk link to a person from an email shows an empty page if they have no desk allocations.
  2. Users are not always redirected to the login page when their status is set to unauthorised.
  3. Using IE, text fields on Details Panel for Assets, Pin and People appear half sized in edit mode.
  4. A normal user who is the administrator of a department cannot edit a person who is a member of that department.
  5. Long fields in the People and Desk panels hide editing buttons.
